An internationaly renoned expertise

Whilst working independently and exhibiting his work in galleries where he became well-known, Patrick Galtié developed his pottery workshop.
He perfected his Japanese and Matisse -inspired decorative skills as well as his different pottery shapes..

• 1982 Patrick Galtié set up his first "lathe" at Belgentier-Var
• 1989 He set up his workshop at Saint-Quentin-la poterie-Gard
• 1992 He hired a potter and dedicated his time to decorative work
• 1993 A substantial order was received from the USA for 1 800 bowls
• 1994 The workshop was moved, three employees were hired
• 1995 A decorative worker was hired. A substantial order was received from the USA for 5 000 dishes
• 1996 A second decorative worker was hired
• 1997 The workshop employed 9 people
• 1999 The workshop was enlarged
• 2000 Production was reorganised, and more jobs were created.

The company now employed 11 people.

Our work is achieved with a real team spirit, we always feel as though we are discovering something new, and our enjoyment of reproduction continues to flourish. Nourished by the qualities of each one of us, our work is continually evolving.

This work, originating from the traditional work of varnished clay is simple, bright, with sumptuous colours.

Our decorative work sometimes evokes a Japanese origin. Each element is an important part of the overall piece of work. The backgrounds are yellow like the sun, blue like the sky and the sea, and salmon coloured for the pleasure of technical wizardry.
